PitchPen AI Trainer

Privacy & Analytics

This page describes what this marketing website does. It is a factual description of the code that runs when you load pitchpen.ai, not a summary of a separate legal document.

Nothing loads until you say yes

On your first visit this site loads no analytics at all. A banner asks whether you want to allow them. Your answer is stored in your own browser under the key pitchpen_tracking_consent. If that key is missing, or your browser blocks local storage, the site treats the answer as “no” and loads nothing.

What loads if you accept

PostHog (product analytics)

Records page views and interaction events such as which pricing plan or call-to-action you clicked. Requests are sent to a path on this domain (/watermelon), which a Cloudflare Worker forwards to app.posthog.com. The first-party path exists so ad blockers do not break the analytics; the data still ends up at PostHog.

Microsoft Clarity (session recording and heatmaps)

Loads a script from clarity.ms that records how you move through the page — scrolling, clicks, mouse movement — and replays it to us as a session recording. This one records more than page-level events, which is why it is behind the same consent gate and is named explicitly here.

How to turn it off again

Open and choose “Turn off analytics”. That records your opt-out with PostHog, revokes consent with Clarity, and reloads the page — the reload matters, because Clarity’s script and PostHog’s client are already running by then and a reload is what actually removes them. After that, neither is loaded again unless you turn them back on.

Clearing this site’s local storage in your browser has the same effect as never having answered: the banner will ask again.

We use optional analytics (PostHog product analytics, Microsoft Clarity session recording) to understand how visitors use pitchpen.ai. We only load them if you accept, and you can turn them off again at any time from the “Cookie preferences” link in the footer. What we collect.
